After recently losing a significant amount of weight (I went from 200 pounds to 140 pounds for a total of 60 pounds of weight loss) I was in desperate need of updating my wardrobe. Not only was my closet full of out-dated, unattractive clothing (because when you’re a larger woman finding stylish clothing that fits well can be a challenge) but nothing in my closet fit any longer!
At the urging of some family members, I went by Express while browsing for updated clothing and I am SO excited that I did. For just a few hundred dollars, I stocked my dresser with new pants, jeans, shirts, skirts & several accessories that have taken me from the work place to happy hour with just a few adjustments. The clothes are well made, hold up well and is super fashionable.
If you’re also looking to overhaul your clothing,here’s some suggestions:
Grab a promo code! One of the big reasons that I was able to buy so much clothing without overspending my budget is that I scheduled my shopping excursion so that I shopped during a sale event and had Express coupons with me. By pairing the forty percent off in-store sale and the promo code good for $40 off a $150 purchase, I easily saved over $200 dollars.
Check out the Editor pants. Seriously. Express is known for this particular pants style for a reason. I ended up buying two pairs of them. They are really flattering on my figure and comfortable as well.
Avoid being too trendy. Express markets to “trendsetters” in their advertisements and, just my opinion, at times the clothes are a touchtoo trendy. When you are adding to your clothing (especially if you’re restocking your every day clothing items) try to buy classic items in classic styles that make you look best.
I couldn’t be more excited with my skinny clothes. It has been a great ego boost to feel so wonderful after my weight loss journey & although I can’t attribute all of those wonderful feelings with my wardrobe, it would not be fair to reject the positive effects awesome clothing can have on your attitude & self image.
